Nationwide competition to find ultimate owner-dog lookalikes

You may have heard that dog owners often choose a four legged friend that shares a similar look and personality to them – but is this theory true?
If you haave ever been told that you or a family member look like your furry friend, you may want to enter a new competition, ‘DOGpelganger’, that’s been launched to find the ultimate dog-owner lookalikes.
Canine Cottages, expert in dog friendly accommodation, is asking dog owners to submit their favourite photos of them and their canine companions via social media for the chance to win an exclusive £500 Canine Cottages voucher to put towards their next holiday.
Entries will be assessed by an expert panel of dog loving judges to collate a shortlist of the top 50. Users can then vote for their favourite submissions to help decide which dog-owner couple is most deserving of the title of the nation’s ultimate ‘Dogpelganger’.
Joe Caley from Canine Cottages commented, ‘In a report featured by the BBC, research shows people are more likely to choose a dog that shares similar physical attributes to them.
‘Here at Canine Cottages, we like a challenge and want to see whether there is any truth behind this theory – and also fill our feeds with cute dogs in the process! We encourage anyone who feels they look like their dog to enter, whether the dog you look like belongs to a family or friend.’

Candidates can apply via Facebook for the chance to be featured in the top 50 dog-owner pairings and win the coveted title of ultimate DOGpelganger duo.
The winning entry will also win a pawsome dog friendly getaway from holiday home rental company Canine Cottages. The competition is now open and closes on 18 September 2019 at 11:59 pm. Head over to the Canine Cottages Facebook page to enter.
