‘Kids for a Quid’ at the Spa Valley Railway in May Half Term

Affordable fun for the whole family with the ‘Kids for a Quid’ promotion on the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells from 25 to 27 May 2019.

You can start your journey in Tunbridge Wells or choose to start at the other end of the line at Eridge – and come into Tunbridge Wells for some fun.

Groombridge is the railway’s principle intermediate station, alight here to see the restored Old Station Building. Known as one of the sunniest spots on the railway, and also the crossing point for trains, you can enjoy a snack or drink at the station while remembering a bygone era. As well as the playpark in Groombridge perhaps consider a visit to Burrswood or Goombridge Place. Burrswood has a café and leaflets in reception detailing four different local walks.

High Rocks is the smallest and most picturesque station on the line, built from scratch and opened in 1998 following the closure of the original halt in the 1950s.

High Rocks Halt is actually set in the gardens of the High Rocks Inn. This is an ideal place to sit and watch the trains go by whilst enjoying a drink in the landscaped gardens. A very unique station in a beautiful location with a backdrop to the High Rocks themselves which date back millions of years.
