Peter Pan the Musical: May Half Term at Groombridge Place

In May Half term, visitors to Groombridge Place can not only enjoy a world of outdoor adventure including the incredible giant tree swings and the UK’s highest and longest tree top walkway but also discover the delightful new outdoor theatre to watch West End actors perform ‘Peter Pan the Musical’ live in the heart of the Enchanted Forest.

There will be two performances of the musical every day between 25 May and 2 June 2019. Fabulous costumes and a specially created theatre set have been designed to captivate audiences as this much loved story unfolds on the mystical island of Neverland.

Watch as the mischievous young Peter Pan and his friend Wendy and the naughty Tinkerbell enjoy their never ending childhood adventures with characters Captain Hook and Smee.

Children are encouraged to dress as pirates and princesses for their day and the Groombridge arts and crafts area will have a pirate and princess theme all week.

Take a journey on the canal or walk along the river to discover a world of fun in the Enchanted Forest including the chance to swing through the trees on the amazing giant tree swings and new family nest swings.

Discover the long Upper Board walk with zip wires, chain bridges, tunnels and tubes together with climbing nets and rope swings.

Use your imagination inside Crusoe’s World and have your very own pirate adventure as you climb and walk over suspended rope bridges and walkways before reaching the new wooden pirate ship.

Everything is included in admission including the Tree Top Walkway which is the highest and longest in the country where everyone can enjoy views across the valley from high up in the tree canopy. Please be advised that suitable footwear must be warn. There is a small charge for face painting and the canal.

A new refreshment area for hot and cold drinks and snacks will be open at Crusoe’s World.

Also explore the delightful walled gardens which surround the moated manor house (house not open to the public) and perhaps enjoy a game of chess on the giant outdoor chess set.

Watch the amazing new birds of prey displays which will take place twice daily.

Admission includes the Peter Pan Musical, all the adventure areas in the forest, the tree top walkway and the gardens.
